Analogue Monsta - Boom

After waitin' for like eternity, the collaborative project between TOKiMONSTA nad Suzi Analogue is here! Don't know how Scion A/V are operating, but again they're putting out quality music for free, this time it's BOOM. TOKi's signature L.A. sound is here in full force and Suzi complements the tracks really well. Grab it for free HERE (love the vibe on my personal fav Conversion Theory).

Mitch Murder - Glass Cities EP

Thanks to people like Johan Bengtsson aka Mitch Murder 80's revival is still on. His newest EP Glass Cities to be released on Irish label ÐhARMA is all about chillwave atmosphere, retro synths and dreamy 80's soundscapes and all the tracks could be easily incorporated into Nicolas Wending Refns' Drive OST.  The EP will drop on September 1st at beatport and other digital outlets, so here's a preview (and Heading South remix is a freebie):

Submerse - Tears

Project Mooncircle nailed it once again - Rob "Submerse"  Orme just released a fantastic EP titled Tears. Ambient, dreamy layers of instruments and vocals are placed on slick drum patterns and luscious synth progressions  in order to create a cohesive 7-track journey across the beat scene with influences from Ghostly International to Ninja Tune and Brainfeeder. That's it, the 12'' transparent blue vinyl won't flip itself, so I'm heading back to to listening, but can do it here:

Playlist for SITKKO Music Festival Warsaw

If you're in Warsaw this weekend don't forget to attend Sitkko Music Festival taking place in 1500m2 club on Powiśle. The line-up is absolutely fantastic combining Polish beat scene crème de la crème (Galus, Teielte, Daniel Drumz, En2ak) and established names like Teebs (Brainfeeder), Comfort Fit (Tokyo Dawn) or 1000 Names (Project Mooncircle). Here's a little playlist on Dragontape to highlight a few tracks and artists:

Blu & Exile - Maybe One Day EP

It's nice have Blu & Exile back with us, feels and sounds really good. Maybe One EP is a short prelude before the forthcoming full-length Give Me My Flowers While I Can Still Smell Them set to drop on September 4th. Smooth and Soulful as it can be, Exile stepped up to the next level and Blu' rap's tailor-made for those beats. Grab the 10'' at good record stores and I seriously recommend to save some cash for the limited (500 copies) album boxset (2LP+Shirt+Casette+7'') - HERE, guys at Fat Beats design department just don't dissapoint.

#rediscovered: Schneider TM & Kptmichigan - The Light 3000

Last Saturday me & Krzysiek had a chance to attend Nosaj Thing's gig in Copenhagen and after seeing many live-acts in the last few years this one's surely in my top3, with a bullet ( we'll post some videos on our fb page, stay tuned). After the show Jason came out for a chat and play some extra tracks. What caught our ears was the tune by Schneider TM & Kptmichigan called The Light 3000. Released in 2000 it's actually a The Smiths cover, but what a fantastic little piece of synth-pop-meets-electronica it is. Watch the #rediscovered tag, we're diggin' hard to find more dusted gems.

Outliers, Vol. I: Iceland

OVI is a project of a small group of filmmakers, photographers and musicians who are setting out on a journey to explore the remote countryside of Iceland and document their experiences with the landscape, residents, and traditions they encounter. The soundtrack includes original tracks by an amazing lineup of electronic and modern classical composers and producers, such as Deru, Shigeto, Sweatson Klank and Eskmo to name few. The "Outliers, Vol. I: Iceland" album was released digitally on 7/9. You can preview 7 of the 19 tracks of the album below, to listen and purchase the whole album click HERE
We're also sharing this teaser trailer featuring the beautifully emotive 'The Wind Sings' by soundtrack contributor Goldmund.

Proximal Records hailin' from Los Angeles just released another fine EP. The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen consists of rapper NOTE (released a dope track on Beat Stew vol.4) and danish producer Simon Muschinsky. The guys tag the tracks as Gangsta Electro Clash and we fully agree on this, The League play some proper Space-Hop, electro style. Listen here:

Presenting: En2ak (U Know Me Records)

Great news broke yesterday here in Poland - U Know Records representantive - En2ak, is going to Red Bull Music Academy 2012 in New York! We're stoked probably as much as Michal, cuz it shows that our Polish independent music scene is going in the right direction and starts to get some worldwide recognition. En2ak released the sophomore album Minerva, Mayhem and Margaritas in April (LP available at HHV, Juno, Jetset Records) and bunch of remixes along the Ego Surf single (freebie). "Beats" is probably the only word we're sure about En2ak's music so just check it - and is there a better recomendation than from RBMA?

EPROM - Metahuman

EPROM has just dropped his debut album, released alongside a single (ft. Machinedrum remix) on Dutch grime'ish Rwine Records. Jacques Greene - Ready EP

There is not much we can say about this very young producer from Montreal except that his music is incredible. He is a legit young house producer brimming with ideas and deep, deep taste for bass music, rnb, and Chicago house. Jacques has previously delivered some phenomenal releases with Lucky Me as well as some high profile mixes. His upcomming EP will be released on July 16th via 3024, Beatscapes is strongly recommending that you get to know this guy. Press play to preview the EP.

Yosi Horikawa - Wandering EP

Just after returning from Sónar Festival Barcelona where Yosi Horikawa played one of arguably best sets, Japan's best kept secret released a 4-track EP on First Word Records. Although it's only just 4 tracks, Yosi blends and wanders through lots of sound textures and incorporates (quite similar to Shlohmo in that matter) everyday sounds like dropping tennis balls (Bubbles), footsteps (In The Distance) or scratching on paper sheets (Letter) and building beats around it. May sound silly and easy while reading, but it's not - fantastic craftsmanship from Yosi, Big Ups!

(it's only 1,5, don't be silly and get those tracks)

XOB - Enchantments

XOB is a duo from Denmark and consists of beatmaker by alias Exampler and really charming soul vocalist Barbara Moleko. The group has existed since 2011 and they have already played a few gigs live, as well as have worked hard in studio. EP album called Enchantments is the first fruit of their collaboration. Genre is neo soul, but still respecting the good, old soul music. Price is pay what you like, don't hesitate, just check it out!
