Just after returning from Sónar Festival Barcelona where Yosi Horikawa played one of arguably best sets, Japan's best kept secret released a 4-track EP on First Word Records. Although it's only just 4 tracks, Yosi blends and wanders through lots of sound textures and incorporates (quite similar to Shlohmo in that matter) everyday sounds like dropping tennis balls (Bubbles), footsteps (In The Distance) or scratching on paper sheets (Letter) and building beats around it. May sound silly and easy while reading, but it's not - fantastic craftsmanship from Yosi, Big Ups!
